The Maritime Alps Protected Areas management body manages two Nature Parks (the Maritime Alps Nature Park and the Marguareis Nature Park) and eight Nature Reserves.
It is a mosaic of territories, located in a vast area extending from the Alps to the plains and as far as the Langa, covering seventeen municipalities.
The body also manages 20 Natura 2000 network sites involving areas of particular naturalistic interest located in the Province of Cuneo, but wholly or partly outside the boundaries of the two Nature Parks and eight Nature Reserves. The areas can be visited either by outdoor excursions or by educational activities in the various facilities of the body.

Accessibility and usability
All areas are accessible to people with intellectual and sensory disabilities. A particularly noteworthy initiative of the body is the provision of two joëlettes for tourists that can be used by people with physical-motor disabilities. Specifically, the Crava-Morozzo Oasis, the Ciciu del Villar Reserve and the Bene Vagienna Nature Reserve are indicated as areas accessible and usable by people with physical-motor disabilities.
