The tour starts from Racconigi in the direction of Savigliano, along the Maira river. Crossing the countryside, it passes through Verzuolo and on to the beautiful Manta Castle. The Grand Tour continues to Saluzzo, near the UNESCO MAB Reserve of Monviso and the river Po, to then continue through the countryside to Staffarda Abbey, a Romanesque-Gothic architectural gem. It then crosses Cavour with the Abbey of Santa Maria, Campiglione, Bricherasio, and on to Pinerolo. The route then reaches the stunning Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi (Royal hunting lodge), and continues towards Frossasco, Piossasco, Sangano and Trana, right up to the lakes of Avigliana.
