Around Alessandria

Nature, ancient trade, historical events, religious routes. The Piedmont Apennines are also rich in charms to be discovered on foot, on two wheels or by motor vehicle among cosy villages, woods, waterways and valleys sloping down to the sea and amidst the scents of a rich food and wine offer.

South Piedmont Trail

The itinerary, which in its entirety covers 240 km of paths and historic roads of tourist interest through the Protected Areas of the Piedmont Apennines, is proposed here in the 3 stages from Bosio to Belforte Monferrato to be covered on foot or by mountain bike.

Via dei Feudi imperiali

Historical road itinerary linking Lower Piedmont with Genoa through the Alessandria Curone and Borbera valleys and the Ligurian Vobbia Valley: one of the many "salt roads" used in past centuries by caravans of mule drivers for trade between the sea and the Po Valley.

Old Orba Valley Road

Built during the construction of the Bric Zerbino dam and the Ortiglieto lake, it formerly linked Tiglieto and the Romanesque parish church of Campale, as well as the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora delle Rocche and the ancient Abbey of Tiglieto, the first Cistercian settlement in Italy.
