You can also go to one of the bars in Macugnaga. After you take off your skis, they’re are waiting for you for the après ski!
The magic of dinner at high altitude immersed in the white heart of Monte Rosa is ideal for enjoying the peace of snow-covered woods under the starry sky and the taste of traditional dishes. From January to March, the warm atmosphere of the mountain huts open on the ski slopes can be reached with the ski lifts in the evening hours. The cable car that leaves from Alagna transports customers up to 2050 meters with a dedicated service that takes just over 10 minutes to travel from the town, with an uphill ride at 7.00pm and a downhill ride at 10.30pm.
In the peaceful oasis of Bielmonte, in the province of Biella, après-ski is alsoalternative and slow: here, in the evening, the Monte Marca Rifugio, located at the highest point of the Oasi Zegna, can be reached on skis with the vintage chairlift which has been in use since 1957, or with snowshoes along a 20-minute beaten path. At the top, there is a 360° panoramic view of the Alpine circle and diners can enjoy Valsesian miacce, polenta concia and local toma cheese. Then you can ski downhill along an easy off-piste track.
Even in Vialattea, one of the largest ski areas in Europe, there is one of the best après skis experiences in Italy. In Sestriere, the meeting place for aperitif time is in a hut on the ski slopes, also accessible on foot. These places also host parties from the closing of the ski lifts until late in the evening, a fantastic meeting place for many young people with events and DJ sets. At the foot of the Bardonecchia ski facilities, once you take off your skis the music turns on at Campo Smith for après-ski on the terrace with DJ sets and exceptional guests. And for people who don’t want the party to stop, there are restaurants, clubs and mountain-style pubs in the centre that offer a vast selection of spirits, craft beers, cocktails and wines.
A popular destination for people who love winter sports and fun is Prato Nevoso. With its busy calendar of events, it warms up winter on the slopes:parties, musical events and festivals, starred culinary circuits, sports contests of national importance and shows for the whole family!
In Limone Piemonte, the après-ski events at high altitude can be reached by chairlift. The venue is nestled against the mountainside and overlooks the spectacular landscape of the Rocca dell'Abisso, where there are clubs with DJ sets and the mountain restaurant at the top of the ski slopes of Limonetto.
