The Monte Marca Bielmonte Italian Ski School has been offering ski courses for people with hearing disabilities since 2015. After undergoing a training course, the operators are able to communicate correctly in LIS (Italian sign language) without difficulty.
Accessibility and usability
Since its foundation, SciaLis has been committed to enabling numerous young people with hearing disabilities to approach the world of snow sports. It offers four types of "marked" ski courses: beginner, intermediate, advanced and competitive. The instructor is assisted by a LIS mediator on each course.
