The paragliding school was founded in 1986. Currently, the Peter Pan school (Avioclub Montalto free flight section) organises basic courses, advanced courses to perfect and prepare for a licence, SIV courses, tandem courses, trips and flying holidays in various countries. The main take-off sites in Piedmont are in Chialamberto, Val della Torre, Pian dell'Alpe and Caprie.

Accessibility and usability
The Peter Pan paragliding school has been enabling people with disabilities to fly for years. The first time was in 1994 when, at the request of a young man with motor disabilities who had expressed his desire to fly, the school built a "wheelchair" to enable him to be carried as a passenger.
Then in 2006, two projects began, both of which bear the name Paravolando: the first was the manifestation for people with disabilities to fly tandem; the second was the project to open a section of the school dedicated to teaching people with disabilities to fly independently.
