The "Safeguard" project is part of the Pa.C.E. Integrated Thematic Plan (ITP), included in Axis III "Attractiveness of the territory" of the ALCOTRA Italy-France cross-border programme for the 2014-2020 programming."
The aim of the project is to reactivate the cultural heritage of the territories starting from their Forts, promoting their knowledge, enhancement and participation by the public, both local and tourists, with particular attention to sustainable and environmentally friendly methods of use.
The 4 Forts included in the project are: the Forte di Exilles and the Forte di Fenestrelle (Piedmont - Italy), the Forte dell'Annunziata di Ventimiglia (Liguria - Italy) and the Forti dell'Esseillon (Auvergne Rhône-Alpes – France).
