Digital technology allows us to immerse ourselves fully even from home in the Wine Landscapes of the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato UNESCO World Heritage, as we wait until it is possible for us to go back and experience them firsthand in all their wonder. The creation of a web platform dedicated to the preservation, protection and awareness raising of the wine culture was possible thanks to the Memories and Traditions project of the Vineyards financed by the MIBACT, Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities. Thanks to this project, you can access the 6 splendid videos dedicated to the World Heritage “core zones”: Langa del Barolo, the castle of Grinzane Cavour, the hills of the Barbaresco, Nizza Monferrato and the Barbera, Canelli and Asti Spumante, the Monferrato of the Infernot.
Landscapes, history and century-old agriculture can also be seen in the fascinating docu-film “VITE! Viaggio al centro di una Terra” (VINES! A journey to the centre of the Earth) available on the www.paesaggivitivinicoli.it where stories, traditions, memories, hopes, challenges and rebirths intertwine with the unchangeable seasonal rituals of vine-growing. Pruners, vine growers, coopers, master vintners, young students from the wine school of Alba, historians, and researchers are depicted in their daily lives on an epic journey across hills and towns, harvests and fetes, traditional games and rural architecture, futuristic cellars, andciabots and infernots.
